Company Members

Pietro González is an actor and a drama teacher. He has performed in several theaters around the country: La Jolla Playhouse, The Delaware Theater Company, The Spanish Repertoire, The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, The Barrow Group, La Tea, Queens Theatre in the Park and several others. With LaMicro Theater, he has performed in Finished from the Start at Northwestern University, On Insomnia and Midnight at Teatro IATI and Soho Playhouse, Nocturnal Creatures at the Directors Studio, Instituto Cervantes and Teatro Circulo, and City Non Specific at the New School of Drama and the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory. He has also appeared in TV and Film, for instance, One Hundred Center Street, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, The Sopranos, The Interpreter, where he plays the Chilean Ambassador and Bowl of Oatmeal. He directed at The Table by Marcos Barbosa for LaMicro Theater. He holds a M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU.

Berioska Ipinza is an actress and a creative producer who graduated from Gustavo Meza: Teatro Imagen in Chile and also holds a B.A in Theater from Hunter College. She has performed in many plays, including She Says Life is as a Lemon directed by Guy Alloucherie, as well as in Hechos Consumados, MaTrix Inc., Luces de Bohemia, Nocturnal Creatures written by Juan Mayorga and directed by Jerry Ruiz among others. She also appeared in City Non-Specific at the New York City International Fringe Festival. She is a co-founder and Executive Director of LaMicro Theater. She has also directed for LaMicro On Insomnia and Midnight by Edgar Chias and Aviones de Papel by Diana Chery at La Tea Theater.

Guests Artists

Lucrecia Briceño (Lighting Designer) is a Peruvian artist currently based in NYC. Her work includes theatre, dance, puppetry & opera, as well as collaborations in corporate events and fashion shows. She has been a guest artist/lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Hunter College and NYU.

Sonia Portugal graduated in Peru, with a major in Pedagogy and Philosophy; however, her dance and acting training begun at age six. While being a part time high school teacher, Sonia trained and performed at different Peruvian schools and festivals. She moved to New York in 2002 to continue her dance training at Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) and performed with several NYC artists including Earl Mosley, La Lila Theater among others. Sonia’s own choreographic work has been presented at a variety of venues including The Vision Collaboration Nights, RUCMA series, ADG festival and most recently at The New School. Sonia has been performing with LaMicro Theater since 2007. She also holds a Masters in Social Work from NYU and is currently working as a therapist serving families in need.

Samantha Herrera is currently living in Los Angeles persuing a career in film. She studied Acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. Samantha has worked in readings and as a teaching artist with LaMicro Theater.

Hazuki Homma is originally from Japan, where she studied classical and modern dance. Since moving to NYC, she completed the international student training programs at Dance New Amsterdam (formerly Dance Space Center) and HB Studios as well as the teacher training at OM Yoga Center. She has had the wonderful fortune to flow with many talented choreographers such as Meredith Monk, Mariah Molony, Ximena Garnica, Erin Malley, and others. She is now working with choreographer Daria Fain and Athena Cocorones.

Leonardo González (Playwright) is an actor from the Catholic University of Chile, MFA at NYU, PhD Student at UH. Many of his plays have been staged in United States, Chile, United Kingdom, Brazil and Uruguay. In 2014 he won the Municipal prize of Literature from Santiago, under the category of unpublished works, with Nanas (2017), a play written with the support of Sintacrap (Maids Union). Nanas was produced by LaMicro Theater the year 2017, 2018.

Tatiana Pandiani is an Argentine born, NYC based director and choreographer. Recent: Dike (Urbanite Theatre), Sensitive to Bite (Primary Stages), Nicky Park Memorial Park (Hypokrit/ New Georges), Field, Awakening (Signature Theatre / Corkscrew Festival), Azul, Otra Vez (BRIC), Eurydice (Atlantic Stage 2) & the international tour of Le Negrophilie (The Vineyard, NYC; Collymore Hall, Barbados; Ubumuntu Festival, Rwanda; Kampala Theater Festival, Uganda). Upcoming: Perks of Being a Wallflower (Atlantic Acting School). Tatiana is a Teaching Artist at the Atlantic Theatre Company and an Associate Artist at Miami New Drama. Lisa Parra is a choreographer, dancer and video artist. She received a graduate degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from the University of California at Los Angeles, undergraduate degrees in Dance and Psychology from UC Irvine and a certificate in Movement Analysis from the Laban Institute of Movement Studies in New York. Her work examines themes of perception and body image in the contexts of communication, ritual and everyday experience. In particular she is interested in the construction or reconstruction of identity through imagery. This has recently included the use of 3D scanning technologies together with live dance, sound and text. She has performed and presented work in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Japan and Mexico.

Laura V. Sández (is a performer and a scholar) Among her creative works are “Mate Performance” (2009) "Vn-Education” (2010) and AlitaElite (2012). She has trained in corporeal mime technique both in New York and Paris, and holds an M.A. in Performance Studies from New York University. She has performed at the Center for Remembering and Sharing, Dixon Place and Triskelion Arts, among others. She has a PhD in Spanish literature. Her research interests include political discourse, performance, emotions, and intellectual history.

Montserrat Vargas is a Chilean performer and craft artist based in New York City. She is an Associate Member of Nettles Artists Collective, where she recently performed and worked as an assistant director of Apple Of My Eye. Montserrat also mentors several immigrant communities in Queens. She holds two degrees from Chilean colleges; one in Acting from Universidad Mayor and one in Arts Education from Universidad de Los Lagos. She is collaborator of Group.Br, a physical theater company. Remy Leelike Is an independent Lighting Designer and technician.

Daniella Ferretti (Designer) is a Chilean graphic designer and illustrator. She studied graphic design at the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Valparaíso. After working in design and advertising agencies in Santiago, Chile, in 2014 she moved to Barcelona where she did a Creative Illustration Postgraduate Degree at Eina School. Currently she works in different projects as freelance. Her illustration work is inspired by nature, travels and daily life.

Giordano Cruz has a B.A. in Theater and Film from Hunter College. He also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He directed for LaMicro the reading of “Negra. La Enfermera del General” by Bosco Cayo. He has also worked has technician for LaMicro Theater in past performances.

Stefania Bulbarella (Assistant director + sound operator) is an Argentine interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from The New School for Drama where she is studying a BFA in Dramatic Arts focused in Directing and Projection Design. Other works include: Director: Venus (Sitio 0), The Man in the Window (Italytime- upcoming). Associate director: Field Awakening (Paradise Factory). Assistant Director: Dike -workshop (NYTW), Nanas (IATI), La Négrophilia (Vineyard Theatre), Somos New York (The United Palace Theatre). Julissa Roman (actor) originally from Peru is an HB Studio acting instructor and is part of the faculty of the Hagen Summer Intensive program also at HB Studio. Julissa has performed leading roles (in English and Spanish) at some of the most renowned Off-Broadway theaters. She won an HOLA Award for outstanding cast performance in NANAS 2017 and was nominated by ACE and ATI awards in many occasions. Julissa also has experience in film. She gave an outstanding performance in the feature film EXPOSED (Lionsgate) while working next to KEANU REEVES and ANA DE ARMAS. She is part of the TV Series WE SPEAK NYC directed by George LaVoo. Tara Elliott (Director) is a director/producer who is passionate about new plays and multicultural voices. She directed the critically acclaimed one-woman show Burq Off! and is a producer of the Gotham Award win- ning web series Shugs & Fats. She has created and directed educational, community, and professional theater in Russia, Italy, France, Chile, Costa Rica, London, New York, Seoul, and Toronto and in various U.S. states. Paola Poucel (actor) is a SAG-AFTRA actress, singer and voiceover artist; she is a graduate of AMDA in New York City. Her career began in Mexico as an actress in classical theatre and musicals (along with new works). She has also performed overseas in Argentina, El Salvador and Spain. Sokio (Sound Designer) is a New York based composer, artist and cultural en- trepreneur. He has written and produced four operas, two albums and a variety of collaborative projects, featuring Tunde Adebimpe, Ivan Navarro, Angel Ne- varez & Valerie Tevere among others. He is the director of the New Latin Wave events series and also works as a music supervisor in Latin America and the US.

Paloma Muñoz (Stage Manager) is a singer, dancer and actress from Argentina. Now in NYC, she has been involved in productions and has performed at different venues around the city such as INTAR, The New Ohio, Theater for the New City and Repertorio Español. Her latest works include In the Heights, Assassins and Jesus Christ Superstar. Muñoz is the lead singer of a Latin Jazz 11 piece band called Spanglish Fly. Alicia Cerón (actor) is a Chilean actress based in NYC. In 2018, she was honored with the "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast" award, for her role in "Nanas 2018" by the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors. Alicia was also nominated as Best Leading Actress for this same role in the annual ATI Awards NYC. Other credits include: Suppliants (New York Euripides Summer Festival), La Cantante Calva en el McDonald´s (Access Theater), Camino Real (Connelly Theatre, NY), Twelve Angry Woman ( The Roebuck Theater), Roberto Zucco (Teatro La Memoria, Chile), among others. Catherine Vargas is a New York City-based writer, actress and director. She received a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Brooklyn College. She is a member of the Charles Maryan Playwrights/Directors Workshop. This year she worked as an assistant director on “The Big Broadcast on 53rd Street." She is excited to be interning at LaMicro Theater.

Deborah Cruz graduated from Hunter College majoring in English Language Arts and Journalism. She is a journalist, having written for publications such as CityLimits.org, Hunts Point Express, and Mott Haven Herald. Additionally, she has held internships in various elements of communications, including fashion; she manages a few personal blogs as well.

Jessica Jimenez

Ryan Shulte graduated in Creative Writing and Africana & Puerto Rican/Latino Studies at Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College. He volunteers as a bookseller at Word Up Community Bookshop in Washington Heights and teaches creative writing at Bowery Residents Community in Chelsea. A writer of fiction, Schulte religiously listens to at least one Bruce Springsteen song per week.
